Court in western Kazakhstan district sentences 3 for financing terrorists  In Uralsk (Oral) city court, three persons were sentenced to three years imprisonment for providing financial assistance to a terrorist group, according to the court press service in the west Kazakhstan province.
“On February 11th, 2013, Uralsk city court received a criminal case against three residents of western Kazakhstan who committed an offense under Article 233–3, part 2, of the criminal codex. The court found that the individuals sent remittances from December 2011 to May 2012 that were often used to help finance activities by members of a terrorist organization,” stated court spokesperson Gulmira Kenzhegalieva to a correspondent from ‘KazTAG’ on Wednesday.
The verdict was read on April 17th, 2013. All three defendants were found guilty of an offense under Article 233–3, part 2, of the criminal codex., and each was sentenced to 3 years’ imprisonment in a general penal colony, along with confiscation of property. http://news.mail.ru/inworld/kazakhstan/incident/12784365/?frommail=1
