S. Gubareva's address to the court
Written by Светлана Губарева
Среда, 04 Май 2005

Your honor,

During the last session the prosecutor said that the rendering of medical assistance was sufficient, that there were:

             Enough vehicles,

            Enough doctors,

            Enough medicines…

One gets the impression that the prosecutor didn't hear what we were talking about at the previous sessions.

In the case materials there are the findings of the commission of medical experts (and Mr. Kalchuk said that he has no grounds to doubt the experts), in their conclusions it is specifically stated that there is not data about Sandy Booker receiving medical assistance.  In the document, death came to him at 8:30 A.M. on October 26th, 2002, that is, two and a half hours after the assault.  This attests to the fact that Sandy died without receiving the necessary, timely assistance, and that there was no doctor available to give him the necessary timely assistance from this supposedly sufficient number.

There was no doctor available to aid 13-year-old Kristina Kurbatova.

There was no doctor available to aid 14-year-old Nina Milovidova.

And for Sergey Baranovskiy, Alexandra Karpova, Masha Panova, Viktor Martynov.  And this mournful list can go on and on. Igor Finogenov was treated by a physician-magician was able to render assistance before he was even summoned to aid the victims, and contrived to perform an intra-cardiac injection without leaving a mark on Igor's corpse.

The poisoned hostages died without receiving help, and in speaking of a sufficient number of specialists rendering medical assistance, the prosecutor is leading the court astray, is lying straight in the faces of us who lost our loved ones.

The prosecutor is lying, when speaking about the sorting of victims.  What type of triage is it when my 13-year-old daughter wasn't sent to Emergency Hospital No. 1, which according to the district attorney's resolution received to most serious cases, nor to a children's hospital, nor to the Institute of Toxicology, not even in an ambulance, but on a bus full of adults to City Hospital No. 1?

If there is doubt about a lack of beverages at the moment of the hostages' seizure, than one cannot say there was a lack in the hall on October 25th, when Anna Politkovskaya organized the delivery of such a quantity of beverages that unopened cases of beverages remained in the hall after the storming of the theater, because we the hostages could not drink it all.  The prosecutor again lies about the absence of beverages.

The holy duty of the district attorney is to defend the interests of the victims, and not the interests of the bureaucrats, to conduct an objective, impartial investigation, to discover, not to hide the guilty of any tragedy that occurs.  The lie from the lips of a representative of the district attorney in conjunction with their official duties is not just blasphemy, but a crime.

We lie is awful for us, because we have paid for it with the lives of our loved ones.
