The U. S. government for the first time has released in full the evidence against the organizers of the September 11th, 2001, terrorist attacks, Agence France-Presse reported on Sunday, April 10th. The data was made public just as U. S. Attorney General Eric Holder was referring the case to the Defense Department. The terrorists will be judged by a military tribunal in Guantanamo, rather than in a civilian criminal court in the United States. Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, Ramzi Binalshibh, Ali Abd al-Aziz Ali, Wallid bin Attash, and Mustapha al-Hawsawi are considered the organizers of the September 11th, 2001, terrorist attacks. For a long time, the issue of their trial has been a topic of controversy. On April 4th, 2011, it became known that they would be tried in Guantanamo. According to data released, Sheikh Mohammed planned the entire operation, from its conception all the way to its implementation. The terrorist attack was conceived in 1999 when Sheikh Mohammed suggested Osama bin-Laden, the leader of the al-Qaeda terrorist network, that they use commercial airliners for the terrorist attacks. At the disposal of the U.S. authorities are recordings of the terrorists’ telephone conversations, as well as information on bank transfers and visa applications. The United States also has detailed information about where and when the aircraft hijackers were recruited. It is known, for example, that Ramzi Binalshibh recruited one of the hijackers personally. Ali Abd al-Aziz Ali had an expanded role in organizing the terrorist attacks by providing a flight simulator to teach the future aircraft hijackers, and he also participated in transferring funds to the terrorists’ bank accounts. The key to the financing of the terrorist attacks, however, was Mustafa al-Hawsawi. The five organizers of the terrorist attacks were taken into custody in Pakistan. If they are found guilty, they could face the death penalty. In ‘Lenta.ru’, April 10th, 2011 http://lenta.ru/news/2011/ 04/10/evidence/
